Hello everyone! I'm a civil/structural engineer, currently working at the University of Osijek, Faculty of Civil Engineering Osijek, Croatia as a teaching and research assistant, where also attending doctoral studies in the field of bearing structures with a focus on earthquake engineering. My currently research areas are reinforced concrete and masonry structures in the field of earthquake engineering, while the central goals of my doctoral study are the strengthening techniques for infilled frame structures under static and dynamic earthquake simulations. My supervisor is full professor Vladimir Sigmund, Ph.D., S.E., one of the best researchers in his field in Croatia, who is also the principal investigator on few research projects with his research group.

My areas of interest in the context of Earthquake Engineering are Performance-Based Seismic Assessment and Design, Seismic Analysis, Experimental Evaluations of Structural Elements and Systems, Analytical and Numerical Assessment, Probabilistic Risk Assessment and Loss Estimation of building structures.

I work at the same time as an external associate in the company TRINAS Project Ltd, which specializes in the design, supervision and consulting in construction and architecture. In this way I consolidate my valuable knowledge in science and apply it in the professional work, especially in the structural design. Currently most of the time I spend writing my Ph.D. thesis, whose defence I expect at the end of year 2016. I participate in parallel on a significant research project called "FRAmed-MAsonry Composites for Modelling and Standardization" whose acronym is simply "FRAMA". Within this project we organized Blind Analysis Contest, which is currently in progress, and we invite you all to participate. In 1971 a Computer Centre of the then Faculty of Architecture, Civil and Geodetic Engineering was established as the Faculty’s internal institute for the needs of education, scientific research and professional work. In the first few years of its activities its main role was education of personnel for the development of the urgently needed computer software from the area of civil engineering, as well as taking care of the Faculty’s computerization.
